I love being a short drive from the capital of this country. The city is absolutely alive with action all day and all night. During the day there are lots of places in the city where you can visit some of the most amazing things for free. My wife and I and our family live very close to their capital and a suburb called Waldorf, Maryland. Waldorf is a great place to live. One of my favorite reasons to live in the city is due to its proximity to washington. I work in the city during the day and I don’t have to take my car out of the garage. I can take the subway all the way to the city and it drops me off two blocks from my office. My kids go to a great school located in Waldorf, maryland. There are a lot of great public schools in the district and plenty of private ones as well. My wife doesn’t have to work, because I earn plenty of money, but she does like to keep herself busy. Her brother owns a furnace repair business in Waldorf. Monday through Friday, my wife answers the phones for her brother so he can actually work on furnace repairs and Waldorf. During the days when my wife answers the phones, he earns a little bit of money for herself. See usually saves all of this money and uses it to buy surprise presents for me and the kids throughout the year. I honestly don’t mind that my wife is working for the furnace repair business in Waldorf. It makes her happy and it helps her brother.

We used a portable air conditioner inside our cabana
Last year, my family and I went to Adventure Island here in Tampa Florida for the first time.
My husband and I have lived in Tampa for over 15 years, and we have always skipped the waterparks because we preferred to go to the beaches.
But now that we have kids, we have been doing things differently. Plus, the waterparks keep them entertained much longer than the beach does. At the beach, they can play in the sand as well as the water, but typically, they get bored and want to leave. So, after a few beach days like that, we decided to try waterparks instead. And the good news is they worked out well. I like Adventure Island because we can rent a cabana and they also serve cocktails. They have several cabanas located throughout the park which is nice. Anyway, a couple years ago, when we first began to take the kids to the beach, we purchased a small portable air conditioner. And we used it inside our beach tent, and it made such a difference. Well, we decided to bring the portable air conditioner with us to Adventure Island and it worked out better than we thought. Though it’s a waterpark where we can cool down by hitting the pools, slides or lazy river, it was nice to have the portable air conditioner underneath the cabana especially when we took a break from the water. To be honest, I am not quite sure if the park allows portable air conditioners inside, but we got lucky and were able to bring ours. All in all, Adventure Island was a success last year and we plan on taking the kids again this year, as soon as school is out.
The flight was long, but it was cool and comfortable
My girlfriend and I took a flight to Lakeland, florida.
We were living in the midwest at the time.
I met my girlfriend when I was going to the University of Texas. The two of us started dating in our junior year and we were still dating when I took the flight to Lakeland. We went to the Lakeland international airport in Polk county. The plane ride was about 4 hours. I wasn’t looking forward to the flight at all. My girlfriend was excited, because she had never been on an airplane before. The flight was long, but it was cool and comfortable. The whole way to Lakeland, the air conditioning system and ventilation duct work was working very well. My girlfriend and I were seated next to each other and there were only two rows of seats on each side of the plane. We didn’t have to worry about sharing the aisle or the middle seat with another person. The two of us didn’t have to worry about sharing our air conditioning comfort with anyone else either. I got to use both of the air conditioning vents, because my girlfriend didn’t like the air blowing in her face. I tried to take a nap so I was refreshed when we got to Lakeland, but all I kept thinking about was how I could not wait to see my mom and dad. It had been at least 3 years since the last time I was home to visit and that was during the holidays when we didn’t have a lot of time to talk about things. I was really excited for them to meet my girlfriend too.
After the 2022 snowstorm my son decided to become an HVAC technician
In 2022, we had a major snowstorm in Buffalo that crippled the city for weeks.
Many residents were left without power, and some were stuck in their homes as well as their cars which resulted in some unfortunate tragedies.
Others were dealing with broken down furnaces and had no way of getting it fixed because HVAC technicians were unable to get to the residents or they had a huge backlog. My family and I experienced a power outage, but we made it out ok. We had to go a few days without heat, but thankfully, we were all safe. My son Jason was so distraught about the entire situation that he decided that he wanted to go into the service industry to help out the people in the community as much as he can. At first, I thought he wanted to become an EMT or perhaps some kind of first responder, so when he told me that he wanted to become an HVAC technician I was taken aback. I had no idea when he said that he wanted to help, that is what he had in mind. But the storm revealed that we have a shortage of HVAC techs in the area, so it would make sense that he would join the industry because it would help the community. So, Jason enrolled in school and he’s currently studying to become a certified HVAC technician. It will take him approximately 18 months to complete his classes as well as his field experience. In no time, he will be able to service the broken furnaces that the residents of Buffalo need to stay warm and comfy in our homes during those brutal Winter months.
