Native american and spanish flavors influence Albuquerque cuisine

Albuquerque is one of the biggest cities in New Mexico.

Albuquerque is located in the northern central part of the state. It was founded in the early 1700’s. My family has lived in the area for 200 years. For a hundred years, my family farmed the land. Then water became scarce and my family had to find another business. My mother’s family created one of the first Spanish American restaurants in the city. The wonderful Native American and Spanish flavors definitely influence a lot of the Albuquerque cuisine. The food and restaurants are my favorite part about the city. My favorite part about New Mexico is the fact that we have legal cannabis laws. Just last year, marijuana was deemed legal for recreational and medical purposes. The prices for recreational and medical marijuana are much lower now that a variety of companies have permits to grow and cultivate marijuana. There is a wonderful Spanish restaurant in downtown Albuquerque that actually has a tasting menu that includes marijuana. The five-course meal has cannabis infused into every part of the dish. Even the dessert menu includes cannabis products. This particular restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. I also love eating at Cocina Azul, Indian Pueblo kitchen, and Frontier. Mary & Tito’s is also a great place to eat. This type of food is more modern than authentic, but the flavors are still amazing. No trip to the city is complete without a taste of authentic spanish american flavors. There are also a number of coffee shops and patisseries that serve authentic native american fare.

We are really happy to have moved to New Mexico

My husband and I moved our family to New Mexico not so long ago.

We were actually offered a promotion if the two of us went to Albuquerque to help set up the new company branch.

We honestly knew it would be a year or several before the two of us could eventually move back home. The two of us were absolutely curious to check out New Mexico. The fact that New Mexico has legal cannabis didn’t hurt in the decision making either. Honestly, my fiance and I have used cannabis for many years. With legal recreational marijuana, the two of us knew the price would probably be lower than other areas. Albuquerque is totally filled with wonderful activities that are no cost for the family. Whenever the two of us happen to have a day off, the two of us take the children to visit the free attractions in Albuquerque. One of our preferred locales is Tingley Beach. Tingley Beach has Wildlife, hiking, fishing, and a fair amount of picnic areas. Everything is open to the public too and it is really free to visit. Another free locale that my family especially enjoys is the Petroglyph National Monument. Although parking is a dollar or several, it is completely free to hike the trails and see the twenty thousand or more petroglyphs that are in this beautiful place. Another locale that I appreciate a lot is Tiguex Park. The park has several attractive walking loops and they are accessible to wheelchairs. One of my daughters is in a wheelchair and it can be relatively difficult to find locales that are accessible. There are numerous grass fields, play areas, basketball courts, and outdoor playsets for the children to have a ball… It’s a legitimately lovely locale to spend the day and have an enjoyable picnic.
