My wifey and I decided to do something ridiculous and fun for our one year birthday; The people I was with and I drove 2 minutes to Evansville, Indiana, so every one of us could go to the casino and hotel.

There absolutely are not a lot of casinos in the Midwest, and the closest place to our house is undoubtedly the one in Evansville.

My wifey and I made a reservation at the hotel. The people I was with and I checked into our room around 7 at night. The front desk clerk did not have a room ready for us when every one of us arrived, but i was a little aggravated, because every one of us arrived well after the check-in time! Our room actually should have been ready, but when every one of us finally got to our room on the tenth floor, I was disappointed. The room was dirty, drab, and old. It was badly in need of substitutes. The AC wasn’t unquestionably frigid and the machine-made an weird noise every time the turned on and off. I commanded moving to a weird room, but our wifey wanted to make things work. I think she was overwhelmed by the drive, and she laid down on the bed and took a nap, then about an minute later, she woke up. I thought she would be ready to go downstairs to the Evansville casino for some fun and entertainment. She was anxious about the and all of the noises that it was making. She demanded I call the front desk and make them transfer us to a weird room. If she could not sleep now, she wasn’t going to be able to sleep at night either.

My husband loves to go fishing. We live in Lansing Illinois and there is Wampum lake. Whenever he can, he takes his tackle box, cooler and some beer with him. The lake can be used basically all year too. No matter what time you are going, there are some neat things to see. In the fall, ospreys, eagles and loons are hanging around. In the springtime there are all sorts of plants like phlox and geranium. The summertime has perfect weather to hang out there all day and in the winter the snow and ice look gorgeous. Sometimes I go with my husband to Wampum lake. He will sit for hours just trying to catch fish. If the weather allows it I will tan and read at the same time. Occasionally I will bring some music and go for a long walk. It is a really peaceful location that not many people utilize. A lot of people think of Chicago when they think of Illinois. But in the city you don’t get to see the beautiful sights of nature. You get homeless, garbage and higher prices. I would way rather be in my area than the city. I don’t even mind the hot and cold temps of my location too. My husband and I use a central HVAC system. Since we get such lows and highs, it is necessary to have both heating and cooling. Since it is one system all tied together though, I don’t have to get as much work done as other units.

San Francisco is going downhill. My brother, cousin and I have all been to it and agreed with that fact. The homeless population is out of control. The city is dirtier, more violent and all the COVID restrictions are ridiculous. You need to show a full vaccination card in order to eat dinner or check into a hotel. COVID has gotten to the point where it is just a slight cold. I am over it. Well when my friend Danny wanted to go on a trip with me, she suggested California. I was immediately against flying into San Fran. I wanted a nicer city to lay down roots in. I decided to fly Danny and I into Fresno Yosemite Airport and 50 minutes away was Visalia. It was a location I had never been to before and I was excited to try. I have to say, I loved being there. Danny and I had so much to do. It is a city so you can eat at cool restaurants, stop in at unique bars and shop until your heart’s content. You also are close to the water if you rent a car. Danny and I went for a few hikes and mostly just stayed in the city. It was fun to do a spa day and a shopping day. The two of us also took advantage of the fact that marijuana is legal there. I am not a big time smoker so I got THC infused gummies that I shared with Danny. The two of us actually got pretty buzzed up while at the spa. It was a fun, memorable day. I would recommend city goers to check out Visalia when they get a chance.

I love Buffalo wings – they are my favorite thing to eat when I am at a bar with my friends. Typically, we order about 50 wings and we sit, eat, drink and be merry. Last month, my friend Jen and I decided to meet up with our other friends at our normal spot for some wings and drinks. The best part about the HVAC was that it has motion detectors, and they picked up on where we were in the house and adjusted the temperature accordingly. If I lived in Buffalo, I would get a house equipped with the best energy efficient HVAC unit. With the weather being so cold in the Winter, I can only imagine how much it would cost to keep a house warm. So, it is essential to have the best HVAC system with energy saving technology. And by the way, the wings were amazing.
