My mom had constantly wanted to go to Jacksonville to visit my daughter, and my friend and I drove down over the Summer as well as spent a couple of weeks there. Mom wasn’t prepared for the Summer heat of Jacksonville, FL; The first night my fantastic friend and I got there, my granddaughters were in the pool, as well as it was 3AM. Mom was frustrated the kids weren’t in bed, as well as more frustrated they were allowed to swim in the dark. My daughter assured her it was moderate enough, as well as they had enough light to light up the entire deck, but it was still eighty degrees out, as well as I was trying to get mom inside so she could sit down in the air conditioner. I had been to Jacksonville several times, however never to their up-to-date home. My daughter was worried to show it off, as well as wanted to take mom as well as I sightseeing later that afternoon. The women were already in the pool, as well as mom was ready to go to the mall. My friend and I walked around the mall where there was a lot of air conditioner, however mom almost fainted when my fantastic friend and I got back outside. The heat was so unbearable I had to take her back inside while my daughter brought the car around. My mom had once said she would not move to Florida, as well as even though my daughter now lived in Jacksonville, she had changed her mind! She liked it back house more than she liked Jacksonville. The air conditioner in their apartment was so poor, that even with the temperature set at sixty-eight, there was no way mom could be comfortable. I knew it was the wrong thing to bring her to Jacksonville, FL in the summer, when mom was ninety.
