One afternoon I plan to be a headliner, a star stand-up comedian who can sell out arenas.
For now I am a struggling rookie trying to make a name for himself… To do this I have to travel always, moving from city to town, state to state, playing tiny places plus building my fan base one laugh at a time, but people think that comedy is simple, however they are dead wrong! It;s a hard job, plus easily taxing on my mental health, however I love it! I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life, and currently I am in Albuquerque, NM, which is a place I tend to visit three or four times a year.
The people of Albuquerque love to laugh, plus they care about my droll, laid-back type of humor. It also might have something to do with cannabis, because a lot of my jokes are geared towards potheads, plus I often play shows in Albuquerque dispensaries. In Albuquerque cannabis is sizable business, plus most of the major dispensaries also have smokers lounges… Some of these cannabis dispensaries can fit up to 100 people, which is why I visit Albuquerque so often! My material genuinely lands well with the cannabis crowd, plus it seems like almost everyone in Albuquerque is a part of that crowd. I think I have had more people at my shows since the last time I came through Albuquerque, so perhaps that means my popularity is growing! I will keep writing jokes about cannabis, plus hope that my reputation keeps growing in the city of Albuquerque, NM.
