Movies filmed in Denver

There have been a lot of famous television shows and movies that were filmed, or partially filmed, in Denver and the surrounding areas.

It is easy to see why! This state features some of the most beautiful landscapes and sunsets the world has ever seen.

It would be very easy to set up a camera, and no matter which direction it pointed you would film something gorgeous. There have been a lot of filmmakers over the years who agreed with that sentiment, and used Denver, Colorado as the set for their projects. The legendary Jimmy Stewart starred as the band leader Glenn Miller in a movie about his life, and filmed much of it in Denver. Miller is from Fort Morgan, a small town not very far from Denver, so the movie decided to film locally to give more authenticity to the story. The classic comedy Every Which Way But Loose with Clint Eastwood and a monkey, was partially shot in Denver. In this case Denver was standing in for Albuquerque! Similarly, the Bruce Willis action film Die Hard 2 was shot at a local Denver airport, but it was standing in for the Washington airport. The film Things To Do In Denver When You Are Dead is actually set here as well as being shot here! . It’s one of the few movies where Denver actually gets to be Denver, and doesn’t have to pretend to be another city. The Rodney Dangerfield movie Ladybugs was also set and shot in Denver, although I think we’d all prefer to forget about that one!
