I felt like I was in a scene from a Christmas card

My spouse insisted our first Christmas together should be spent with his parents at their apartment in Lee’s Summit, MO, i lived in the south, and all I could guess about was how freezing it was going to be over Christmas… He tried to tell me the weather in Lee’s Summit was consistently comfortable, although I didn’t feel him! When I didn’t fall for that, he told me his parents had excellent Heating in addition to Air Conditioning in their house. If my cute, little nose got too cold, my pal and I could go back to the household and get tepid chocolate and snuggle by the fireplace. I liked that thought although I was also ready to see where he grew up, however my associate and I spent the first two days snuggled in front of the fireplace while listening to his mom tell me about my spouse’s escapades as a little kid, and showing me adorable pictures of him with a mohawk, a bald stage, and separate from any front teeth. I also got to see pictures of him and his sibling opening their Christmas gifts, and one of him snuggling with his current puppy when he was six. That evening, they all got together, and my pal and I headed to Lee’s Summit Christmas in the Park. It was amazing to drive the gaily lit park, and imagine I was in a different era. I felt like I was in a scene from a Christmas card. I didn’t realize there could be such a place anymore, and being in the car made it doubly good. My associate and I had the heat of the Heating in addition to Air Conditioning to keep us warm. I had never had a Christmas like this and asked if my pal and I could do Christmas with his family every year.

I remembered visiting the previous year when it was closer to winter.

Jacksonville, FL is one of the nicer venues I have visited in FL, then i enjoyed the scenery and all there is to see, but the only thing I don’t like about Jacksonville, is that it gets so hot I can’t breathe. I wanted to spend more time with my daughter, but she consistently wanted to go out to the sidewalk sales, walking tours, parks, and beach. I preferred to be in the home with the a/c. The last time I was in Jacksonville, I took my granddaughters with me. They went to one of the several water parks in the area, and they all came back sunburned. They ended up kneeling in the home with blisters and the a/c blowing on them. I was ready to go out and do something, so my daughter-in-law picked me up and took me to an indoor theater. I was shocked when I realized it was a drag queen show, however my friend and I had a lot of fun. They had the best burgers you could imagine, and even with a packed crowd, it was so cool inside that I had to put a jacket on. I remembered visiting the previous year when it was closer to winter. I was on the beach in my shorts and tank top, while some of the locals had parkas on. I was laughing at them for being chilly when it was sixty-five outside, however my child said they thought I was unusual for not being cold. I know it’s all in how my friend and I are brought up and what kind of weather my friend and I were used to.
