We broke down ten miles outside of town

Jack and I are easily the biggest Colts fans in the country.

I grew up in Indianapolis , but Jack is a fan because his dad knew Johnny unitas. Jack and I decided to drive to a game last sunday. We left our home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri early in the morning so we would have plenty of time to get to our destination before the start of the football game. The drive was relatively uneventful. The car handled the 5-Hour drive well and Jack and I listened to music on the way there. After the game, we grabbed some food from a diner and headed back to Lee’s summit. Unfortunately, we broke down on our way back home . We were only about 10 miles outside of the city when the heater stopped running. I had not adjusted the temperature or the blower motor, so the heater should have been running. When it shut off strangely and abruptly, I was worried about the car. I pulled over to the side of the road and that’s when the smoke started pouring out of the engine. My car never drove a single mile after that. The trip that Jack and I made to the football game was the last time the car engine ever worked. I honestly thought the heater was the problem, but then I found out that there were other issues with the car that I did not know about. The car had been on its last leg for the last several months. We were honestly lucky that it didn’t break down while we were in Indiana.
