I don’t know who came up with the phrase the city that never sleeps.

I would absolutely prefer that the city sleep at some point. Las Vegas is the type of city that never seems to go to sleep. They laid out the streets at night downtown so you can’t tell that it is night time. It is very disorienting when you walk out of a casino. It is caused to walk back in and continue gambling. I’m sure that research shows this works very well as a marketing technique. I think that it is absolutely terrible. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I didn’t live in the city, but I lived right here in Clark county. I grew up about 15 miles away from a marijuana farm. The marijuana Farm provides products to half of Las vegas. When marijuana was legalized, the farm doubled in size and started building a huge production plant. It is really neat to live so close to the marijuana production plant. I work at a dispensary in the city that is open until 5:00 in the morning. We only close for 2 hours. From 5:00 until 7:00, the manager has time to clean the store and count all of the money. After that she has to go to the bank and handle deposits. There is constantly someone inside of the dispensary, even if we are not actually open 24 hours a day. It really is a lot of hassle and trouble when the city never goes to sleep.
