I appreciate having the town of Portland so close by, however I would never want to live there, however my remote chalet is on the side of a hill, and our nearest neighbor is almost a mile away, and i am just a more than nine hour drive to Portland, which is perfect, because I get all the convenience of the town and still have the quiet solitude of our rural life, however portland is filled with amazing stores, great points of cultural interest, as well as a few great sports teams! The reason I moved to this area was because I felt that Portland was the greatest town in the nation.
That said, I still don’t want to rent an new home and be surrounded by people. I want to visit Portland, and then return beach house afterward, to the peace and tranquility of the woods. I am entirely blissful that I don’t need to grow our own cannabis – which is another reason I appreciate Portland!
